The icon of Christ in a wooden frame is made on a copper base and covered with silver and gold using electroplating technique. Both the frame and the base are made of wood (ash) and varnished for better preservation. The image of the Savior is the central icon in Orthodox Christianity, without which no iconostasis can do. Almost constantly in the temples, the image of God the Almighty is in the central part of the temple, from the inside of the dome. On this icon, the Lord is depicted to the waist. The New Testament is visible in the left hand, and the right hand, as a rule, in a blessing gesture. Based on the Byzantine tradition, the figure is often called Pantocrator. During his earthly life, the Lord God showed all people the grace and miracles that are performed for the benefit of the inhabitants of our planet. So now, sitting on the throne of heaven, the Savior sends out his grace-filled help to those who ask him about it. Dimensions 22*27cm.
